Slow Time Mondays Release New Single ‘Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time’

Slow Time Mondays are a 4 piece band from Crawley, West Sussex, consisting of brothers Billy and Joe Morgan and childhood friends Ryan Scopes and Charlie Wright. Striving for big riffs and catchy choruses, their songs aim to fuse their childhood influences of Indie, new wave Mod and Ska sounds.

The band initially formed in 2016 and began writing and releasing their own material in 2019 with the release of their self-titled EP. Since then they have released a total of 8 singles to date and last May released their debut Album;’Century’

‘Century’ is a coming of age defining album for the band, effortlessly showcasing their musical prowess and ability to combine their influencing genres into an exciting collection of tracks which they are rightly, very proud of.

Recently hailed as “One of Crawley’s most exciting exports since The Cure”. Slow Time Mondays began selling out venues in their hometown and are now headlining their own shows further afield. As well as performing at the Isle of Wight and Truck Festivals in recent years,  the boys have big plans to continue on their upward trajectory into 2024 and beyond.

The latest release from the band is the sizzling feel-good, blistering guitar anthem of ‘Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time’.

‘Don’t Threaten Me with a Good Time’  with its anthemic chorus, ear bursting solos and relatable lyricism is sure to have crowds chanting the words back to the band at many a gig this summer festival season.

The band have said the track:

“With this tune, we wanted to encapsulate the good times we had last year as 4 best mates. We had some amazing tours, shows and festivals, and we can’t wait to continue this momentum into 2024.”

Having also recently announced a gig at their 700 capacity hometown theatre, as well as confirming a slot at Brighton’s Concorde 2 for this year’s iconic Mod Weekender, 2024 is already shaping up to be another exciting year for the band and they are most definitely ones you should be keeping an eye on.
