Cardiff born artist Dead Method has released his brand new single ‘Cry About U’. An upbeat electro pop sound juxtaposed against anguished lyrics that deal with the loss of a loved one. Produced by Edward Russell, the song explores the pressure we sometimes put on ourselves to disengage with the grieving process and how that can blow up in our faces.
After the success of their Welsh Music Prize nominated album ‘Future Femme’ in 2022, Dead Method is kicking off a new era of art and music. Starting with their recently released single ‘Faith In Judas’ which spent 3 weeks on the BBC Radio Wales A-List and now with ‘Cry About U’, Dead Method is showing their versatility as an artist.
Dead Method has drawn on his inspirations and has created a distinctive sound for himself in his music. Although the lyrics draw on experiences of loss, the track is fun, funky and upbeat, almost like a paradox. The contrast is clever, creating a unique song.
The ‘People’s Poet’ Jamie Webster is the voice of the voiceless with his fantastic new single out now, also in acoustic.
He is the master of creating songs that are relatable and empowering to the masses. Jamie Webster has built a movement around songcraft that distils struggle, finds hope and tugs at the ties that bind. Creating pin-sharp pictures of people he sees around him striving and failing, through no fault of their own, to make better lives, Webster’s motivations and inspirations are unambiguous. Singing for the downtrodden, dispossessed and ill-advised with fists-aloft, smile-wide songs that invite, if not demand the release of communal celebration, Webster’s story has a cast of thousands. Rooted in Liverpool, yet finding the same faces with different accents singing every word back at him, from London to Glasgow, Manchester to Belfast, every moment of Webster’s success is shared. scoring a UK Official Albums Chart Top Ten and UK Official Folk Chart Number One with his debut album, We Get By, Webster is held up by the enthusiasm of people just like him: those who simply love music and see the cracks in people’s troubles that serve to let the light in.
There is so much beauty and kindness in his lyrics, maybe we could all take note of what Jamie is singing and speak up for those who have no voice.
Jamie says of the song: ‘Voice Of The Voiceless’ is a call to action for people who feel like they’ve got no way out of a life where the odds are constantly stacked against us. So many of us feel alone, powerless and with no chance to succeeding in today’s society. This song is a reminder that we’re not alone, that if we rise from the shadows and come together, we might actually have a chance to make a positive change for everyone.

The genre-defying Passive Fix return with their new single ‘I’ll Take It All’ which follows up the band’s acclaimed previous release, ‘Red Lights’.
‘I’ll Take It All’ sees the midlands-based band explore their creativity further as the track features on the soundtrack to their upcoming short film, ‘A Divine Descent’ continues the story behind ‘I’ll Take It All’.
‘I’ll Take It All’ was recorded at The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and the song was produced, mixed and mastered by themselves. Dealing with the cycle of grief, it was written by songwriter, vocalist and saxophonist Alex McCarthy who took the song to the rest of the band who then developed the final structure of the track and added further production elements.
On ‘I’ll Take It All, Alex said: “..the protagonist is experiencing loss and as a result he wants to escape into the wilderness..he starts to question his faith and blames others for his loss, pushing them away. The song’s change in tone represents the protagonist’s journey through the cycles of grief.”
