Indie Revolution EP Of The Month – The Kaves ‘Peace Love Mayhem’

The Kaves release their debut EP ‘Peace Love Mayhem’. The EP is undoubtedly a showcase of the band’s ability to write songs for every emotion. Already released singles ‘Complacency’ has a grittier sound, whilst
summer release ‘Unknown Number’ is your go to singalong indie song.

The Last Glass and Fading To The Back Of The Room will be released for the first time on the EP. The Last
Glass is the band’s most cinematic song to date. It carries an atmosphere fit for any Bond film. The song
starts with alluring piano notes played by Sean Prior before Dave MacDiarmid’s vocals add an ocean of
depth to the verses, with the chorus taking the Drama up a notch.

Fading to the Back of the Room is an anthemic ballad that will be sure to tug on heartstrings. The song takes
on a style similar to their previously released ‘Soul’ which has proven to be a fan favourite. This song
touches on the subject of regret later in life.

The Kaves have gained momentum having been featured on Spotify Editorials, Radio X and BBC Radio. They will be showcasing their new songs from the EP to new audiences during their run of shows in
November. New music champion John Kennedy gave the tour a shout out on his Radio X X-Posure show.

Peace Love Mayhem is out now across all streaming platforms!

These releases have served to highlight this band as well and truly being ones to watch, which has been further cemented with their extensive touring schedule and live performances to include both Y-Not and the Isle Of Wight Festivals.

Marseille started 2024 by being named as one of This Feeling’s “Big in 2024” acts and performing as part of their showcase in Manchester.

AND…..Marseille show no signs of slowing down anytime soon with the release of their ‘Godiva’ EP  complete with a full headline tour – 2024 really is without doubt,  the year of Marseille

“YOU DON’T BELONG TO ME” – Is filled throughout with fuzzing guitars and thrashing drums. It’s a high octane belter of a track very reminiscent of early Oasis.

“MONKEY IN THE MIDDLE”  – Has the swagger of The Charlatans, The Music and The Stone Roses flirting with the absolute wall of sound from the 90’s Shoegaze scene to create an absolute stomper of a piece that will leave your mind blown.

‘SHE CAN FLY’  – Is harmonious and melodic. A certain love song that starts off slow and measured with gentle strumming guitars and a sense of soft romanticism that quickly gives way to the building of crashing drum rhythms and loud distorted guitars before ebbing away once more to allow the genteel nature of the delicate vocals to come into play, before the track takes a turn once more building into a euphoric crescendo with contrasting melodies and mesmerising guitar solos.

“IF IT HURTS DON’T CRY”  – Is heartfelt and a reflection on what could have been, before exploding into a euphoric, inspirational wall of guitars and strings. Elements of The Verve fused with the groove and elegance of the late 60’s Rolling Stones and a hint of attitude in the buildup of the track into its explosive end.

‘Godiva’ is out now on all streaming platforms via Bubblebrain Records.
