HYPERDOG are a punk band from Linz, Austria. They are known for their distinctive sound and raw live performances and have quickly made a name for themselves in the local music scene. Their music combines punk with various influences, resulting in a strange mix of 80s hardcore punk and Joy Division.
Their debut album “Frog Mountain” was released on April 25, 2024 by the French label Swish Swash Records. This was followed by tours and concerts in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy and Australia.
Now, Austrian indie punks HYPERDOG release their new EP “Tales From The Mountain” via Goodbye Boozy Records.
“With this EP I’ve tried to bring in some new sounds, like synths and organs, and I’ve also addressed more serious topics, like addiction and depression. But it’s still a HYPERDOG record, so it’s catchy, quirky and fast”, explains singer and guitarist Mario Sanchez.
Yon Mon is the solo project from former The Shed Project frontman Roy Fletcher, assisted by Danny Hayes, bass player for The Jade Assembly and producer at The Ivy Studio Bolton. The Shed Project came to a natural end back in June with an amazing celebratory farewell show at Bolton’s Venue Bar following John Radcliffe’s decision to step away from the band.
Following on from their fantastic debut single Shine On, the second single Picture This is now available on all major digital platforms via Echobass Records. We have a lot to look forward to in the coming future for Roy Fletcher, with his honest lyrics and raw emotion, covering topics of love and loss, politics and the dark side of the music industry. The eagerly anticipated debut album is due for release summer 2025…and we cannot wait!
The Crawling Eye are a three-piece indie band from South Wales, they have been on the scene since 2019. They consider themselves eclectic in relation to style and influences and record whatever feels right to them. They have always delivered solid songs, but it wasn’t until lead vocalist Regan Meredith joined that they found their sound. They evoke the 80’s Indie sound, with strong psychedelic elements mixed in with modern Pop sensibilities. A truly unique, fresh sound from the trio.
Vocally the song is instantly haunting, the chorus featuring the catchy line “You keep saying I’ve been playing dead again” – there is a sense of ambiguity in the song’s lyrical theme. Frontwoman Regan Meredith would’ve thrived in the 90’s indie scene and it’s another captivating performance from the young vocalist.

PABLO CARRIZO is the young Hull based musician who has already amassed a large and loyal fan following, performing at festivals such as Tha Knows Festival this year with The Lottery Winners, The Clause, The Lilacs, The Chase, The Skinner Brothers, and Skylights and he has further played the main stage (18k cap venue) at Humber Street Sesh, supported The Rosadocs four times as well as has supported The Chase and Dirty Sterling at Scunthorpe Baths Hall and furthermore, has sold out his own headline gig at the Adelphi Club in Hull for the 27th December of this year and all this before he’s even released a single!!
That is until now, as Pablo Carrizo gears up for the release of his debut single ‘Summerhouse’
With all those achievements already under his belt prior to any official music releases, one can only imagine what heights this young star is going to rise to following the release of his sensational debut offering.
‘Summerhouse’ was one of the first songs Pablo ever wrote. He says it was written a couple of years ago, and how it seemed to be the one track that really stuck the most when performed live.
‘Summerhouse’ is a fast paced, rhythmic offering in its opening beats with its strumming guitars and crashing cymbals. The track keeps up the feel good pace throughout making for a decidedly upbeat tune, which is sure to brighten the darkest of the winter days ahead. The vocals are measured and delivered with meaning and the chorus hook is deliciously infectious with massive sing-along appeal. The inclusion of the strings section on the track really adds to the overall voluptuous, textured sonic soundscape at play. It’s quite simply put, a brilliant track, especially for a debut single release. This single is no doubt going to perform really well for Pablo Carrizo with comparisons already being drawn to the songwriting genius of the likes of Noel Gallagher and to the “Next Big Thing” quality of bands such as The K’s.
Pablo has said of the track:-
“It’s just about being young and growing up, the good and bad. Nothing groundbreaking but it tells a good story and it sounds half decent, and that’s what music is about. The name of the song came from one of my best mates’ summerhouses, where me and my mates used to go. One of them said jokingly I should write a song about it. Never thought I’d be releasing it as my first single. For my friends and family, this is a long time coming. I’ve been putting off releasing it for ages, I’ve been terrified to be honest. Weird writing songs in your room then putting it out to the world for everyone to hear, but it’s been great to see so many people wanting it out over the past couple of months, and sometimes you’ve got to say fuck it, so here it is!”

LIREDEL is the soulful songstress who takes her influence from many genres including from the old school greats such as Etta James to the most modern rock stars but it’s clear to hear the sultry jazz notes to her tone.
One night at The Libertines HQ, The Albion Rooms in Margate, seasoned, legendary actor and award winning writer/ director GEOFF BELL (from films such as The Business, RocknRoller, War Horse and many more. He also appears as the main character in The Libertines Run, Run, Run music video) heard LIREDEL performing her track ‘Candle Burning’ and he was moved to learn when talking to her that the track was inspired by her beloved grandfather.
Geoff felt this track really resonated with him personally and his experience of having an extremely close bond with his own grandparents and as such, he asked Liredel if she would be willing to record a version of the song with him appearing on guest vocals.
Liredel jumped at the chance and on Remembrance Sunday this year the pair recorded the stunning ‘Candle Burning’ remix.
The ethos of the track is to serve as a reminder of ones we love and cherish who are no longer with us especially during this festive season. A sentiment we can surely all appreciate.
Musically the track is a serene and harmonious melody giving rise to an overall vintage feel to the sound. Liredel’s vocals are precise and pure, positively dripping with a velvety richness, a sound which really rivals some of the all time greats of a golden era. The addition of Geoff’s deeper vocals serve more as a compliment to Liredel’s adding another dimension and layer of emotion to the track which will surely resonate with many.
Liredel has said about the track:-
“The track is about keeping a metaphorical candle lit for those that are no longer here …..it’s a beautiful song about keeping the memory flame alive for all time. Remembering the good times with loved ones and keeping a piece of them alive with you through your memories.”
The track also features Charlie Wareham on backing vocals and Timothy Midnight on drums..
The track was recorded with award winning sound engineer and producer Jason Stafford (The Libertines, Trampolene) at The Albion Rooms In Margate. Jason also arranged and composed the backing track to the song.

MARPLES are the young Sheffield based indie rock band consisting of Joseph Neville on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Thomas Martin on lead guitar, Joseph Kneale on bass guitar and Luke Fieldsend on drums.
The band began performing live around three years ago. Realising they were onto something special, they then spent time perfecting their sound by gigging as much as possible and enjoying some prolific support slots as well as their own sold out headline shows at the likes of Network Sheffield.
In 2022, MARPLES took the decision to release their first official music into the world in the form of their ‘In The Attic’ EP which comprised the tracks ‘One For Their Own’,‘Once More’, ‘ Misled’, and ‘Misfortune’. Both ‘Once More’ and ‘One For Their Own’ were picked up by Sheffield Wednesday FC and were played to the crowds during matches at the world famous Hillsborough Football Stadium.
Since the release of their successful follow up singles ‘I’ve Been Shown’ and ‘Friends’, MARPLES have been getting bigger support gigs, supporting the likes of The Covasettes and BILK, building up their recognition and their musicality. They further played and headlied festivals such as ‘Woodstocksbridge’ and the MOSFEST festival. Their biggest triumph in this last year however, has been at the Leadmill in Sheffield where in March 2024, they supported Matilda Shakes on the main stage going on to sell out their own headline show on the main stage at the venue in August.
The band are now back with their latest release of ‘First Kiss’.
From start to finish First Kiss, encapsulates the exhilaration and innocence of that special romantic moment. It’s an indie rock anthem filled with youthful spontaneity and an infectious energy. It’s a really upbeat melody with a highly infectious chorus hook.
The track immediately draws the listener in with its driving beats and precise guitar riffs giving a sense of excitement and passion. The vocals are tender and tinged with a certain amount of vulnerability, coupled with some totally sublime backing harmonies, that really seek to portray the nervous thrill and excitement felt.
The lyrics are poignant and storytelling depicting vivid imagery of the flirtatious dance that lead to that special first kiss.

MATILDA SHAKES are an anthemic indie rock band based in Sheffield, UK. The band is made up of and comprises James Hallam on Lead Vocals, Jack Poulson on Guitar, Elliot Britton on Guitar, Sean ‘Spen’ Yeardley on Bass Guitar and Joel Haddon on Drums.

2024 alone has seen Matilda Shakes play T’other stage at Tramlines and once again, sell out TheLeadmill as well as release 3 singles and an EP. And they show no signs of slowing down as they get ready to throw open the curtains wide and unleash arguably their greatest single to date with ‘Frankie’.
‘Frankie’ is a high octane, full throttle out and out rock n roll banger. The track begins with a distorted gospel echo before launching into a rousing melody that oozes promise and desire. The whole arrangement of ‘Frankie’ pulls you in with its unbridled sanguinity. When played live people will be emerging from the sweaty maelstrom of the mosh pit still chanting the lyrics to ‘Frankie’ back to the band.

Luke Barratt known as “Lukey B” is a singer/songwriter from the UK. His broad range of influences from soft acoustic ballads to beatboxing HipHop makes up his unique and somewhat unpredictable sound.
Being already well known as the front man of promising up and coming alternative indie rock band, Rapturous, who have had mentions in the likes of the NME and on BBC Radio, Lukey B now plans to take the next step in his music career by releasing work as a solo artist.
So far in his career, Lukey B has played venues up and down the country including at the iconic 100 club in London and recently played to a sold out London crowd for his headline show at Moustache.
Lukey B’s debut single which was released in July 2024 ‘Bella’s Song’ was received to amazing praise from the likes of Abbie McCarthy on BBC Introducing who commented on the track by saying “[it] Would sound at home in Oasis’ back catalogue.”
Lukey B who likes to see himself as a Philosopher and as someone who is always trying to see and create positivity all around him even in the toughest of times is now back with his second solo offering in ‘My Love is Haunted’.
‘My Love is Haunted’ has “Indie Rock Classic” written all over it. It’s very Britpop inspired with regard to its tune and tempo with simplistic lyrics driven by heavy guitars and pounding drums, putting us in mind of early Kasabian and the aforementioned Oasis. It’s definitely got that 90’s vibe to it being used to maximum effect.
Lukey B has said of the track:-
“This track definitely takes inspiration from Oasis and Noel Gallagher’s style of writing. The track is about being a big lover but your love being tainted/haunted due to past traumas. The lyrics also talk about mental health struggles resulting from trauma yet still trying to help everyone around you. Its a song for the lovers not the fighters, the empaths amongst us.”

THE BEAUTIFUL GAME are a five piece alt-rock indie band from London composed of Jason Crowley on vocals, Lawrence Bonavia on Guitar, Steven Foxley on Guitar, Paul Jeffrey on Bass and Katie Padfield on Drums.
THE BEAUTIFUL GAME has a sound that manages to keep that old school Brit indie flame alive and kicking channelling the likes of The Stone Roses, The Libertines, Oasis and The Jam with their very own panache and unique spin on things. The sound is distinctly Britpop, but Britpop with a difference.
The five-piece create rousing melodies with life affirming lyrics and stadium worthy choruses making them a very exciting band and one that you have most definitely been waiting for if you’re not already familiar with them.
The most recent single to be lifted from their upcoming album, the dynamic and invigorating ‘Hollywood in Holloway’ was released on the 1st November.
The band are now set to release their 14 track Album ‘Common Royalty’ from which the final single ‘Radio’ is taken.
‘Radio’ is a euphoric, stomper of a track from start to finish, stepping up the ante throughout with its powerful drum driven beats and heavy guitar sounds.
