London’s three-piece indie, grunge, psych rock band consists of Danny Collins, (Vocals/Guitar) Aaron Forde, (Vocals/Bass) and ex-Babyshambles drummer Gemma Clarke (Drums).
Following on from their EP ‘Stuck In A Video’ JW Paris release their cover of Chris Issaks ‘Wicked Game’ in time for Valentines Day. With Nirvana vibes from the outset and plenty of energy throughout, this is definitely a cover that stands out from the other hundreds of versions of ‘Wicked Game’. A great combination of Chris Isaak and Kurt Cobain.
Of the song JW Paris say:
“As most of us have been through chaotic relationships, this song spoke to us in the same way. Soaked in misery but ultimately drenched in love. We have had it sitting in our locker for years now and felt it time to release it into the wild, and I guess there’s no better time to do so than Valentines.
We coincided the release with the #CoversForLovers campaign on TikTok and the video features lovers from all walks of life.
Wicked Game is the closest JW Paris get to a love song and it’s not even ours.”
JW Paris have been played and supported by BBC Radio 1, Radio X, BBC 6 Music, Absolute Radio and more.
The band have an exciting year ahead of them on the road with plans to grace the festival stages.
