Little Juke Release Debut Album ‘Departures From The States Of Mind’

Following the recent release of their thundering and dynamic single, “Time On My Mind,” Little Juke are gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated debut album; “Departures From The States Of Mind”.

The album is out now, marking a pivotal moment in the band’s evolution and offering fans a comprehensive look into their distinct sound and artistic vision.

“Time On My Mind” marked another shift in gear for the band and is a track they’ve come to love playing live. It’s about the urge to break out of the mundane routine and the idealisms that we are often subject to. More than just a song, it’s a call to do something with your life, embodying both the restless energy of breaking free and the determination to seek something greater.

With a loyal following built on their innovative approach to songwriting and a commitment to pushing musical boundaries, Little Juke continues to break new ground which is succinctly embodied within their powerful and poignant new album release.

This album ”Departures From The States Of Mind” is the culmination of a creative journey and also a celebration of the enduring connection that the band enjoy and share with their audiences.

The band, whose sound draws comparisons to Radiohead, Arcade Fire, and Foals, has already captivated audiences and critics alike. The debut single, ‘Down the Rabbit Hole’, drew praise from Radio X’s John Kennedy, who described it as “Radiohead meets Unfinished Symphony by Massive Attack.”

Known for crafting music that is “more cinematic than commercial, more poised than pop-pleasing” (The Big Takeover), Little Juke continues to forge a distinct creative path with their evocative lyrics and resonant melodies.

Emerging from the heart of the Midlands, they have swiftly made a name for  themselves in the indie rock scene since their formation in early 2024. The band has crafted a sound that is both dynamic and deeply resonant.

Despite being relative newcomers, Little Juke have already secured sold-out shows in their hometown, signalling a rapidly growing local fanbase. Known for their rousing, energetic live shows, the band delivers a captivating experience that leaves audiences wanting more. In addition to their success on stage, Little Juke have achieved recent acclaim by writing a track for BBC’s Phoenix Rise, further establishing their versatility and appeal.

The debut album from Little Juke contains a total of 10 story- telling tracks and the band are  proud of the body of work they have produced. They feel it shows the diverse range of influences that have inspired them in the process with ‘Departures From The States Of Mind’ being a soundtrack of their daily lives. It spans the highs and lows of everyday life and they hope people can make a connection to it and take something from it.

With four tracks having been released as singles from the Album from August 2024 to February 2025, and with Spotify streams in the region of 22k and monthly listeners of 1,656, you can tell that this is an album and indeed a band that are going places.
