Jeremy Gluck and Paul Hazel Release New Album

Jeremy Gluck and Paul Hazel release the fantastic new album #EBDB. One single titled KMKY features a clever cover of Knowing Me Knowing You originally released by ABBA.

The #EBDB Story
In the midst of his navigation of art college, one day short on inspiration and scrolling through
Instagram, Gluck was struck by the sense that “everything’s been done before”, and so the acronymic hashtag that titles this album was born. Then making a body of work dedicated to the proposition – a series directly an homage to Warhol and his Factory, and celebrating copyism, crass appropriation, art theft, and lazy creativity – Gluck thereafter saved the idea for further exploitation, the ideal opportunity for which presented itself when this album was being made. With Hazel a fellow Warhol head proving the perfect foil, the concept of an album that all art is created easy took shape and the collaboration ensued that today brings you seven pieces of traitorous sonic silver. In the sale of the soul, everything must go, and in this pursuit #EBDB is a volume dealer.

Recording artist, digital fine artist, and prolific electronic music and video art collaborator, Jeremy Gluck is perhaps best known as lead singer of cult surf-punk band The Barracudas, the subject of a recently released 3CD retrospective on Cherry Red Records. As a solo artist he has had songs covered by artists such as Lydia Lunch and Rowland S. Howard (The Birthday Party, Crime and the City Solution, These Immortal Souls), and Nikki Sudden (Swell Maps), with whom two latter artists he recorded the first supergroup alt. country album, ‘I Knew Buffalo Bill’ in 1987. In 1997 Gluck began a journey into experimental electronica that
led to him working with some of the genre’s leading lights, including Martin Rev, Brendan Moeller, Dub Gabriel, and Youth.

Paul Hazel is a music producer and multi-instrumentalist. He has studied electro-acoustic composition with Simon Emmerson and the ‘Search and Reflect’ method with free jazz drummer John Stevens. He has had many releases on labels such as Rising High, Rotation, Inspiral, 2Kool, Welsh Modular Alliance, and SWND. As part of the band Blue Train he hit the Billboard dance charts with Get Movin’ on Masters At Work. He has composed and produced the music for a number of commercial films and TV programmes. Short films of his own have been exhibited in Japan, Venice, and Wales.

Trick Shot Release New Single ‘Wanna Love Me Too’

Trick Shot are an Australian ‘New Wave of Classic Rock’ band from Adelaide, South Australia. The band formed earlier this year from a collection of 80’s inspired, dad bod musos who met in the dank corners of the local scene and who all just couldn’t get enough Bruce Springsteen, Iron Maiden and every guitar hero who has ever graced the industry.

Their unique package of entertainment fuses these big 80’s guitar sounds with catchy melodies mixed with a smile on their faces and a love for their music. They are dive-bombing their way to freedom that will make you want to get up, sing along and dance your troubles away.

Now hailed as Adelaide’s coolest dad band by all the single mothers, Trick Shot are rocking their way into the hearts of their followers, punters, and media alike and have previously released their singles ‘We got the night’ and ‘Nothing I’d Rather Do’ that have gained them several spins across the radio dial at home and abroad.

With their third single ‘Wanna Love Me Too’, the band continues to announce their sound; fist pumping choruses, big guitars and unmatched positivity that have become their calling cards.

Trick Shot’s debut album, “Magic Bullet” will be released later on this year.

The album was written by bassist Dave Varacalli in an inspired 3-week span with the raw demos given the breath of life through the production wizardry of Ian Poole each song telling the tales of the times, interactions, interludes between country towns and big cities and what it is like to feel alive.

Armed with their brand and their songs, Trick Shot are embarking on the old school theory of playing until their fingers’ bleed and have several live shows locally lined up and will add as many shows as possible to their schedule in due course.

Trick Shot are the antithesis of a conundrum wrapped in an enigma, yet you cannot deny the one important fact, they rock you like a hurricane, and you will find yourself singing along to their infectious tracks even before you fall in love with them.

In their own words:

In a world of aggressive and low vibe auditory assaults, Trick Shot breathe a not seen in many a year positivity into both their lyrics and sonic structures. They capture the triumph of the human spirit and wish the listener, if only for the moments they listen to their material, leave in a more positive head space than what they arrived at.

About the song:

‘Wanna love me too’ is an anthem to those late-night raiders whose quest for connection and a lust for life leads them from linear acceptance to an emotional triumph” – ChatJKM, reviewer.

Swansea, South Wales based modern psychedelic indie band Motel Thieves have releases their new single ‘Purple’. Produced by Nick Brine (The  Stone RosesOasisThe Verve).

Purple’ delves into the enigmatic nature of dreams, weaving through a captivating tapestry of heavy riffs, soaring guitars, and melancholy, all whilst harbouring a slight edge of unease. ‘Purple’ embodies the phenomena of deja-vu and encounters of familiar faces whilst dreaming, but things aren’t always what they seem…

Phil Marinucci Releases New Single ‘Fly’

The new single ‘FLY’ by Phil Marinucci Multimedia pays homage to AOR rock music of the 80’s, written and arranged to sound like music from that era; including elements such as vocal stacking, guitar stacking, harmony vocals, big production sound and more.

The original version of the track was written in the late 80’s but never produced. It was during the pandemic that the work resurfaced and studio production began. The track was developed over a two year period with the focus of creating an 80’s AOR rock track in terms of sound and style.

In order to create that 80’s era sound, along with a big production feel, the song was built with over 130 layers of instruments and vocal tracks. All instruments were virtual and performed on an M-Audio MIDI keyboard. Some instrument sequences were also programmed, like the drum and complex background melodies.

Since the track was developed during the pandemic, the lyrics were re-written to create a more uplifting and positive message to help those who needed it. Once the track was complete, it was mixed, mastered and distributed worldwide through TuneCore. PMM also created the artwork for the single, again following the 80’s aesthetic during that timeframe.
