Gig Life Crisis

What started out as a Whatsapp group amongst close friends last May, has grown into a massive community of 11,000 avid gig lovers on Facebook. The group has become a supportive platform for unsigned artists in the independent music scene, a place to share gigs and festivals and even a place for people to buddy up to attend gigs. There is also merch available! T-shirts, hoodies, pin badges, car stickers, one member has even got a ‘Gig Life Crisis’ tattoo!

The group organised a Gig Life Crisis festival at The Steam and Whistle in Cheltenham in January, showcasing the likes of The Kairos, The Rosadocs, Spangled, Samantics, The Slates, Siracuse plus more. The festival was a huge success, 200 members of the group attended and an amazing £1500 was raised for charities Mind, Punks Against Poverty and Refuge through a charity raffle organised by John Hibbits (admin of the group) who is passionate about supporting mental health.

Gig Life Crisis 2 has just been announced, to be hosted in Coventry for later in the year so watch this space.

The Kairos Release New Single ‘Price On Peace’

The Kairos are wasting no time and are capitalising on the momentum produced by their last single release and in the lead up to their EP release, with second single ‘Price On Peace’ (P.O.P.)

‘P.O.P.’ does very well at letting every fan know that this band aren’t here to mess about and release five songs just for the sake of it. Instead of being a carbon copy of any previous single releases, this latest release immediately expands upon the potential of the EP to come.

THE KAIROS  are a Liverpool based quartet made up of Tom Dempsey on Lead Vocals and Guitar, Owen Forrester on Bass, Lewis Chambers on Guitar and Sam Bradley on Drums and Backing-Vocals.

First formed in 2019 and with an impressive array of much critically acclaimed single releases already under their belts, THE KAIROS over the past 12 months have left a trailblaze in their wake with their most successful year to date, seeing them release a total of three singles,  amassing a plethora of new and devoted fans off of the back of their first UK tour, signing a new Management and Booking Agent deal with Solo Music Agency (Blondie, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Iggy Pop, James) and indisputably, bursting onto the music scene with a bang….  All this aside, however, everything the band have achieved over the past year they say has been leading up to this moment and what they are about to unleash!

THE KAIROS have been working tirelessly on their latest musical offerings, an EP,  ‘Better Late Than Never’,  comprising four brand new tracks, the lead single of which ‘Thick Of It’ was released on Friday 10th March.

The band are now back with their second single to be taken from the EP – ‘Price on Peace – (P.O.P.)’

‘P.O.P.’ begins with the spin of a record player and the stabs of jangly, Beatles-esque guitars, giving the listener a hard shot of 60’s Rhythm and Blues. However, you are immediately thrown nose first into a juicy bass groove married with the four to the floor beat provided by drummer Sam. A lot of this comes from the band’s love for classic 90’s Hip Hop and the idea behind that music in particular. Making ‘P.O.P’ a very welcome variation to the ‘Better Late Than Never’ EP.

Recorded and produced at The Motor Museum in Liverpool synonymous with the likes of Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and The 1975, ‘Thick of It’ is a one-way bullet train of a track, designed to throw adoring fans, and newcomers alike, into a frenzy at THE KAIROS’  live shows. None more so than the band’s homecoming  EP release gig on the 25th May at Hangar 34, in the heart of Liverpool’s Baltic district. TICKETS LINKED HERE

Following the release of the EP, The Kairos have their eyes set on making an impression on the illustrious UK festival circuit this summer, with confirmed billing at Isle of Wight, Bingley, Hardwick, The Great Escape and Godney Gathering to name but a few! As well as some big support slots with James, The Sherlocks and more TBA!

‘Better Late Than Never’ is due for release on the 19th May 2023.

The Kairos Release New Single ‘Thick Of It’

THE KAIROS  are the Liverpool based quartet composed of Tom Dempsey on Lead Vocals and Guitar, Owen Forrester on Bass, Lewis Chambers on Guitar and Sam Bradley on Drums and Backing-Vocals.

THE KAIROS have been working tirelessly on their latest musical offerings, an EP,  ‘Better Late Than Never’,  comprising 4 brand new tracks, the lead single of which ‘Thick Of It’ is out now.

‘Thick Of It’ is a strong, anthemic track that comes in shouting at the top of its lungs, making the band’s intentions very clear; they mean business and you’d better strap yourselves in and be ready as this is gonna be one hell of a ride!

Straight off the bat you are thrown into a euphoric whirlwind of high octane energy with blistering guitars and frenzied drumming.  There’s barely space to breathe before the onslaught of the atomic, crowd rousing chorus kicks in, that without question, has all the boxes ticked for a stadium sized rock n roll anthem .

New release ‘Thick Of It’ further cements the notion that THE KAIROS are most definitely a band that you need to be looking out for in 2023.

‘Better Late Than Never’ is due for release on the 19th May 2023.
