Leicester based indie band The Mercians have released new single ‘Just LikeYou’. A track about the human struggle against addiction, whether it’s drugs, alcohol or even social media platforms. Resonating with todays society it’s packed full of shimmering guitars, glorious melodic vocals and is sure to delight fans and newcomers alike.
Taking their influences from the likes of Catfish and the Bottlemen, Foals and Sam fender, this is music, politics and hardcore partying rolled into a band of talented musicians. The Mercians are fast becoming one of the emerging talents in the UK indie music scene.
The band sold out their first live gig, and went on to support The Skinner Bros and headlining Glastonbudget festival. They were then offered a gig at the 450 capacity O2 Academy in Leicester. In addition they have been offered the opening slot on the mainstage at next year’s Glastonbudget festival. They have also featured on BBC radio Leicester.
‘Just Like You’ is out now across all streaming platforms.
