The Vanities Release New Single ‘Just Passing Through’

The Vanities are an electro-rock duo from Cardiff made up of Rhys Bradley (vocals/guitar) and Adam Hill (bass guitar/synths). Recent adventures have included the release of their much-lauded debut LP “2001” along with acclaimed singles “London” and “Private Army”, garnering significant airplay and leading to guest appearances with 80s icons Tony Hadley and Peter Cox on their sell-out tours.

The band return with their new AA side single, “Just Passing Thru”.

A Just Passing Thru (ft. Bob Fitzgerald)
AA Just Passing Thru (Jammy Remix)

Side A features local award-winning country music artist Bob Fitzgerald who brings his unmistakable voice to the track. With an arrangement that embraces country and gospel influences, “Just Passing Thru” is a heart-breaking sermon on love, loss and the importance of living life to the full. An instant classic.

Side AA is the incendiary remix by Jammy, the South Wales-based super-producer behind the recent string of belters by Kaysha Louvain. With its fusion of rock, country and funk sensibilities, the Jammy remix serves up an irresistible slice of contemporary pop heaven that has hit single written all over it.

‘Just Passing Through’ is out now on all streaming platforms.

The Vanities Release New Single ‘Private Army’

The Vanities return in 2023 with brand new single, “Private Army”. A notable departure from their signature 80’s sound, “Private Army” is an epic orchestral affair, a haunting lament on the folly of humankind in the new era of war in Europe.

The Vanities are an electro-rock duo from Cardiff made up of Rhys Bradley (vocals/guitar) and Adam Hill (bass guitar). Following a riotous period of early success in the noughties, the band retreated into a self-imposed, decade-long exile before returning in 2021 with their critically acclaimed album, “2001”.

Lead single “London” was singled out for particular praise and enjoyed heavy rotation on BBC Radio Wales, leading to the band supporting New Romantic legend Tony Hadley on his 40th anniversary tour in 2022.

The band will be playing a small number of select “unplugged” shows in support of the release.
