Vendetta Love Release New Single ‘Glue’

Irish Hard Rockers, Vendetta Love continue their rise with another stand-alone single that packs a serious punch! Never a band to rest on their laurels, Dublin/Portlaoise, four-piece, Vendetta Love continue raise the with their latest single, ‘Glue’ which gives off Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Frank Carter vibes, and is the debut single featuring bassist Neil McEvoy on vocals.

Commenting on the track, the band says; “This song came from a little chord progression and riff I had written a few years ago that I had always wanted to do more with, eventually expanding into the mix of sections that form the cohesive mess that it is. Lyrically it touches on a couple different themes like mental health/addiction and also some dreams/nightmares I’ve had that stuck in my mind.
Both Chris and Shawn have added so much to the character of the song, weaving melodies and attitude in such wonderful ways. Darren plays a blinder on the drums and really pulls the whole song together. We recorded it in Trackmix Studio in Dublin, which is always a pleasure. Working with Michael there is always so comfortable and efficient.
Singing lead vocals is a first for me and was honestly nerve-wracking but I couldn’t be happier with how the song turned out, and for anyone missing Shawn’s lovely voice he does make an appearance on vocals so all is not lost. Anyway, Glue, get it in your ears.”

Vendetta Love are a hard hitting, solid force of no bull, hard rock & grunge from Ireland. They combine the anthemic brooding darkness of Seattle grunge, with the danger and excitement of LA’s Sunset Strip.

Having multiple headline shows under their belt as well as coveted support slots alongside Airbourne, Poets of the Fall, and even TikTok sensations Adam & The Metal Hawks they are no strangers to the stage.
They’ve released two 5 track EPs in 2021and 2022, respectively with 3 singles in 2023. The band are currently gearing up for  jam-packed Summer full of live shows around the UK & Ireland.

Vendetta Love Release New Single ‘Might As Well (MNDFVK)’

IRISH HARD ROCKERS, VENDETTA LOVE CONFIRM THEIR DEDICATION TO NO NONSENSE ROCK BANGERS WITH THEIR BLISTERING NEW SINGLE, ‘MIGHT AS WELL (MNDFVK)’

With a busy 2023 which saw the four-piece tour with Airbourne (amongst other things), Vendetta Love are gearing up for a huge 2024 and are finishing up the year with a new single/video.

The new song titled, ‘Might As Well (MNDFVK)‘ contains the classic VL sound, albeit beefed-up with chunky Alice In Chains guitars, with vocalist Sean Mullen’s gritty, “heart-on-sleeve” lyrics, which follows in the footsteps of their bands stunning discography.
Check out the official video here

Speaking of the new single, the band says; “‘Might As Well (MNDFVK)’ came about while we were fucking around at a rehearsal for a show last year. It came together pretty quickly. I already had the lyrics more or less (they’re just written down waiting), which is pretty different to how I normally write lyrics, but it just seemed to marry really well.
Its also the first one weve done that has shared vocals between myself and Neil (bass). Hes carrying the harmony through the verses and just goes fucking nuts towards the end. I love it…What the songs about? I think thats open to interpretation.”
– Shawn Mullen (guitars/vocals)

Guitarist, Chris Craig adds; “The build up in the middle section is one of my favourite parts to play live, it has a small dose of progressiveness to it before it kicks into the full riff between the way the guitar builds with the drums. The video was shot entirely in one day with Angel (Cosmopalace) in the Dunamaise theatre in Portlaoise, Ireland.
We had talked about making it visually weird. Angel had sent me a message with the idea of wanting to create a tunnel around the lens, sort of like the James Bond, but more chaotic and claustrophobic. So, all the shots in the video with the ring” around it are practical effects of reflective card duct taped to the lens, which we think turned out really great to give a sense of unease throughout the whole track.

Vendetta Love are a four-piece Hard Rock machine that incorporate elements of ‘80s Hard Rock with ‘90s Grunge delivered, box-fresh in the 21st Century, dripping with swagger and real musicianship.
